Since being founded in 2004, Ningbo Co-star Materials Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. has been specialized in R&D and production of sintered 1:5, 2:17 Samarium Cobalt permanent magnets and assemblies. Through 6 years’ great-leap-forward development, now Co-star is a company, which covers an area of 12000 square meters including an area of 5000sm of factory building, with an annual production capacity of 1200 tons of SmCo and 1000 tons of NdFeB products. It brought in advanced producing, machining and testing equipments and the fixed asset values more than RMB 32 million.

PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT MACHINING ABLITY
Co-star has two machining subsidiary factories. They have inside diameter slicers, wire-cutting machines, flat grinding machines and centerless grinders, etc. The two factories have the ability to machine not only normal blocks, disks and segments, but also especially high precision small blocks and hyper-normal products, through using laser drilling and grinding to machine the SmCo products of thin-wall, deep hole, which has high precision as well as tiny hole.

INTRODUCTION TO GENERAL MANAGER
Bill Pan, graduated as Master of Automotive Engineering, from Tsinghua University, senior engineer, entrepreneurs, Ningbo Jiangdong District Science & Technology advanced worker, director of Ningbo Youth Science & Technology Association, Ningbo “4321” Talent Project member, former director of Magnetic Material Research Institute, Yunsheng Group. During he worked in Yunsheng Group, Bill Pan participated in the project of National “863” high-performance magnetic material research, which was applied by Yunsheng, and got the first prize in Ningbo Science & Technology Progress Award. In 2000, the “intelligent flexible automatic assembly line for musical boxes” project, which was researched by Bill Pan, won the first prize in Zhejiang Province Science & Technology Progress Award.
In 2004, Bill Pan left Yunsheng Group and established Ningbo Co-star Materials Hi-Tech Co., Ltd to continue the production and sales of SmCo products with the passion and confidence for this industry.

INTRODUCTION TO TECHNICAL CONSULTANT
Dr. Hartmut Nagel, who has been technical consultant since the establishment of Co-star. He engaged in the SmCo research work in a global professional material and technology group—ThyssenKrupp—in Germany. Now he establishes a company, which provides NdFeB and SmCo manufacturers with equipments like hydrogen-decrepitating furnaces, pressing machines, etc, as well as technical solutions and innovative services.
